Nov. 11 is Veterans Day and we’ve partnered up with Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III to supp

The annual celebration of our veterans is this Wednesday and I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the brave men and women who put the common good above all else, even their lives. These individuals, along with their families, deserve our respect and support for keeping our nation safe from those who would do us harm. We’re blessed to have men and women courageous enough to assume the risks of defending our freedom and protecting our liberty.

At CKE Restaurants, we believe it’s important that we do more than simply thanking these brave men and women for their service.  Because veterans have a special place in our hearts, our company along with our Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s franchisees, raise money each year to help veterans though our annual Stars for Heroes fundraising campaign. Since 2011, we have raised more than $3.5 million.  Yet, there’s always more to do.

And so, as part of our partnership with Call of Duty: Black Ops III, all proceeds from sales on Veteran’s Day of any “Ultimate Care Package” (large Tex Mex Bacon Thickburger combo with large fries/large drink in Call of Duty-themed packaging) at any Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s restaurant will go directly to the Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit created by Activision Blizzard that has funded the placement of over 15,000 veterans in the high quality jobs they deserve.

So, if you’re hungry on Veterans Day, treat yourself to an “Ultimate Care Package” and know you’ll be joining countless others across the country in support of our veterans. Even if you can’t come into one of our restaurants on Veterans Day, please do all you can to support our vets and, if you know or see one, please thank them for their service.
