Yesterday Andy joined The Story with Martha MacCallum alongside former Georgia congressman Jack Kingston and Democratic strategist Jehmu Greene to discuss whether or not Joe Biden will be able to compete against Trump’s booming economic policy in the 2020 election. When asked about the Quinnipiac Poll’s finding that 71% of American’s would describe the economy as good or excellent, Andy agreed that the economy is on fire.
“Wages are up…there are more job openings now than people unemployed. When President Trump took over, there were 2 million more unemployed people than there were job openings. Today… [there are] 1.3 million more job openings than people unemployed,” said Andy.

Martha then asked Andy about parallels between U.S. and European political movements, to which Andy commented that there are similarities not only in the EU, but rather, there is an overall rejection around the world of “super governments” that focus on climate change, multiculturalism and identity politics.
Lastly, the China trade war was discussed and if it might discourage voters from reelecting President Trump. Andy argued that is not the case – the economy remains incredibly strong, the American people are benefiting and President Trump will get the credit for that.
