Appearances: Mornings with Maria – Job growth is low because people are being paid not to work

This morning Andy joined Mornings with Maria to discuss how the Biden economy is producing weak job growth and causing inflation. The first topic the two spoke about was how current unemployment benefits are keeping people from working. Andy pointed out that what is going on right now is not rocket science, “if you pay people not to work, people aren’t going to work.” Also discussed were price increases at restaurants like Chipotle due to inflation. Andy reasoned that most of these price increases are unfortunately here to stay, and that despite Biden saying he isn’t going to raise taxes on Americans making under $400,000 a year, inflation really is a tax on everybody – and it particularly hits those with the lowest incomes the hardest.
