Friday, Andy joined Jackie DeAngelis filling in for Neil on Cavuto: Coast to Coast to discuss the most recent jobs report. Andy pointed out how the ‘positive’ July jobs report is hiding the fact that the labor participation rate has gone down and that, “this is hugely important…the lower labor participation is generally means fewer people are considered unemployed…and it becomes much easier to reduce the unemployment rate.” In essence the unemployment rate looks lower when labor participation is lower. Also discussed was rising labor and commodity costs and the difficulties small businesses across the country are facing. Andy and Jackie agreed that unfortunately, because of the Biden administration’s policies, we are likely going to end up with a stagflation economy, which will be terrible for American consumers and working and middle-class families.
