Questions of Competence

I was surprised Tuesday morning when I saw an article from the Washington Post piece questioning President Obama’s competence. Read the article here. It surprised me that it was in the Post.

A friend then sent me a link to a 60 Minutes segment from Sunday on Benghazi indicating that someone at CBS finally said, “Hey, we’re journalists. Maybe we should cover this.” it’s actually very good.

Even Chris Matthews of the tingling leg joined the Benghazi band wagon saying: “Where were the people that could have come or that tried to get there within however many hours it took to save the lives of the people still living. Where were they and why couldn’t they do it? I’m going to ask that question until I get an answer.”

Then a couple of people sent me this article from NBC News (Lisa Meyers no less) about how the Obama Administration knew for over 3 years that millions of people would lose their insurance despite the President’s assurances to the contrary. The article is actually entitled: Obama administration knew millions could not keep their health insurance

CBS got on the band wagon with a piece yesterday morning entitled: CBS: Over 2 Million Americans Have Already Received Insurance Cancellations Due To ObamaCare (October 29, 2013).

Over the weekend, even the LA Times got into the act with an article entitled: Some health insurance gets pricier as Obamacare rolls out. It states that: “Thousands of Californians are discovering what Obamacare will cost them — and many don’t like what they see.” Source

The LA Times continued its uncharacteristically critical coverage of the President with an article Monday entitled: White House OK’d spying on allies, U.S. intelligence officials say. According to the Times, “NSA and other U.S. intelligence agency staff members are said to be angry at President Obama for denying knowledge of the spying.” Source

While I’m reluctant at this point to be overly optimistic, it does seem that some in the liberal media are waking up. We’ll see if it lasts. Perhaps the evidence on this the President’s job performance is becoming overwhelming. Certainly, something is changing.
